Teaching Philosophy

My personal goal is to become the best musician and hornist that I can possibly be. I want to inspire my students to share the same goal, regardless of whether they have been playing for one day or one decade. I also try to instill in my students a love for music that will last a lifetime.

I teach students how to learn new concepts quickly and practice skills efficiently. Along with gaining a thorough knowledge about horn performance, successful instruction should result in a student who is more perceptive, details oriented, and driven towards excellence. The knowledge and traits that are gained as a result of studying music can help in all areas of life.
